Our Accounting Apprentices are given intensive employer lead training using vast industry knowledge that is needed to ensure that they become a valuable asset to your business within various accounting roles.

Our dedicated Recruitment Executive will work closely with you to understand the requirements of your business and help to select the best possible candidates to suit your needs.

The committed Accounting trainer will then support you throughout the programme in ensuring your Accounting Apprentices progress is reviewed against your expectations throughout induction and the full training programme.

Technical Details

Course Length:

  • Minimum of 12 months

Age Grant

The Apprenticeship Grant for Employers of 16 to 24 year-olds supports businesses that would not otherwise be in a position to do so, to recruit individuals aged 16 to 24 into employment through the Apprenticeship programme.

The AAT Programme

Our innovative programme embeds excellent classroom based learning with important real life job skills to prepare the Apprentice for your business.

At the start of the programme your Accounting Apprentice will complete the Level 2 Bookkeeping introduction course or the Level AAT Level 2 qualification. This will ensure that they have the relevant skills and prepare your Apprentice for the start of their main AAT Level 3 Certificate in Accountancy.

AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accountancy

Your Accounting Apprentice will work closely with you learning valuable industry skills and knowledge, as well as working towards the internationally recognised AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accountancy in one of the 3aaa Academies. They will attend the Academy on a weekly day release with their remaining time being spent in the work place.

Within the Level 3 qualification your Accounting Apprentice will complete the following 6 main modules:

  • Accounts preparation
  • Prepare final accounts for sole traders and partnerships
  • Cost and revenues
  • Professional ethics
  • Indirect tax
  • Spreadsheets software

When studying these modules and also with your in the work place, they will learn valuable skills that will help them become a valuable asset to your business. These skills include:

  • Understanding fixed assets including purchase, depreciation and disposal
  • Learning profit and loss and balance sheets for sole traders and partnerships
  • Understanding the principles of VAT
  • Understanding ethical behaviour in the workplace and accountancy practice
  • Learning spreadsheets, software and data analysis tools and techniques
  • Management accountancy reports and costing mechanisms

AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accountancy

Once your Accounting Apprentice has completed their Level 3 qualification they will then have a great opportunity to further develop their skills and progress onto a Level 4 Apprenticeship.

Just like the Level 3 qualification, this is a 12 month programme which involves them attending the Academy on a weekly day release basis with the remaining time being spent with you in the workplace

Within this advanced Level 4 qualification your Accounting Apprentice will complete the following 4 modules:

  • Financial statements
  • Budgeting
  • Financial performance
  • Internal control and accountancy systems
