About the Apprenticeship

3aaa has become the provider of choice for organisations with IT requirements varying from large multinational organisations to SMEs as of whom can benefit from the excellent training programme which is designed to meet employer demand today but also prepare young people for the career of the future.

3aaa work with young people who want to start a professional IT Apprenticeship throughout the year. Our dedicated team will support you every step of the way to prepare you for interviews and help you find your dream job.

Our programme is specifically designed to help create the opportunity for young people like you to start on the pathway to success.

Once you are employed you will be paid a minimum of £2.68* per hour.

*Subject to change with Government guidelines

Training will be delivered by our industry experienced team by attending your local Academy, through independent study and ongoing training in the work place.

We deliver a 12 month programme where you will initially attend the Academy every other week for a total of up to 10 training weeks. The remaining time is spent in the work place with your employer, putting the skills that you are learning in place within a real life industry.

Technical Details

Course Length:

  • Minimum of 12 months.

Fees:

  • Fully funded.

What you need:

  • To be aged 16 – 23 years old*
  • Ideally have 5 GCSE’s – Grade C and above.
  • English, Maths and ICT GCSE – Minimum of Grade C or equivalent.
  • 3 Years EU residency

You will work towards:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals.
  • Level 3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in ICT, Maths or English. (Where applicable)

You will learn how to:

  • Strip down and repair computers.
  • Change computer components.
  • Install configure and update a range of operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults on PC’s and simple networks.
  • Install and configure peer to peer networks.
  • Understand the basics of server networks.
  • Build and test websites.
  • Test and evaluate computer software.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate and test a range of software applications.

Future Prospects

As the IT profession is highly skilled and continually evolving, we expect all of our Apprentices to choose to continue their development towards a 12 month Level 4 Apprenticeship. The Level 4 programme is equivalent to a foundation degree.
