Why I Chose an Apprenticeship – Alex Head, Digital Marketing Apprentice
I went to University last year to do a degree in Marketing. However, after the first year, I felt like I could be achieving more with my time. I only had 2 days of lectures a week and spent the rest of my time twiddling my thumbs.
I left university with the goal to earn whilst I learn, so instead of living off pot noodles, I could actually afford to do the things I wanted to do! I have gained hands-on experience in the sector I’ve always wanted to go in; learning industry standards and techniques that my university textbooks didn’t even cover.
My apprenticeship has allowed me to build on my previous knowledge whilst meeting some amazing new people. It has given me many opportunities and opened lots of doors for the future.
