About my role at 3aaa

As the Operations Director for Levy, I am responsible for the overall operational success for our Apprenticeship levy clients..

My role at 3aaa sees me initially engaging with our clients, working with Learning & Development and HR teams across a range of sectors to develop and deliver apprenticeship strategies and levy implementation plans. From this point, I then oversee the delivery of our training programmes to ensure the coaches and mentors that are put in place for each client have the relevant experience and industry knowledge.

The most significant part of my role is working closely with our clients to identify their learning and development needs through planning tools and to identify appropriate standards, volume of learners, phasing of delivery and resource requirements to reduce risk and ensure each client receives the best possible return on investment from their levy expenditure.

I am responsible for strategic planning, financial forecasting and profiling of our client’s Levy contribution and providing ongoing support to 3aaa colleagues. My main objective is to maximise levy contributions and demonstrate return on investment for our client. As a result, my role sees me take responsibility for the training delivery to all levy clients nationally – working closely with colleagues across the wider business to ensure quality and compliance are of the highest standards at all times.

Every day is different and I enjoy the varied challenges of my role and seeing the positive impact that we have on our clients on a day to day basis, ensuring we support them every step of the way in their Levy journey.

My Background Prior to 3aaa

My early career began in sales and progressed into recruitment in a commercial environment at the age of 21. I then secured a fantastic opportunity to develop a specialist legal division for a well-established recruitment company, providing headhunting services which lead onto a consulting role for a training & development company, working with owner/directors to develop strategic growth plans.

Following relocation to North Derbyshire, I then headed up Business Development at local college delivering both rapid and significant growth in apprenticeship provision, providing new services to employers, developing multiple income streams and delivering major contracts.

Before joining 3aaa I was Director and Co-Owner of a specialist engineering training provider in the Sheffield City Region. In this role, I restructured the organisation, recruited new talent and dramatically changed the training offered in response to industry innovations and technological advancements – providing a flexible, employer-led training and recruitment solution.

It was following the birth of my second son, when I formed my own recruitment company, that I met with Di McEvoy-Robinson (Joint Owner of 3aaa) who invited me to a 3aaa Levy conference and was instantly blown away by the investment and responsiveness to client’s needs and I knew that no other provider was in this strong position.

It was recognising 3aaa’s approach to the Levy as thought leaders in the sector that really attracted me to the organisation and my aspiration was to be part of that.

How my roles add’s value to our partnering clients

We work closely with our clients and really get to know their training and recruitment needs, ensuring that we embed all of their key values and strategic priorities into a truly bespoke programme. All of our programmes are personal to our partners in response to their individual organisations.

But it’s not just about what we deliver for our clients that’s important, we also look at how we deliver contextualised learning and development training to our clients. Our Marketing team work with each client to create bespoke, branded material for each individual programme, embedding the key colours, messaging and values into the look and feel of their programme so it is relatable to the staff of each client, embedding their vision and values into the training.

Simply put, my role ensures that every 3aaa clients receives the very best from their levy contributions.

My interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I am extremely family focussed and spend any spare time with my husband and two boys. We enjoy days out at the football together and I enjoy going to watch live music, good Italian food and drinking fine wines with my other half.
