3aaa have an exciting opportunity to join our Levy team as The Corporate Business Partner. Based at our head office in Derby with some national travel you will be responsible for the development of relationships with one of our key strategic clients at a Senior level.

Taking a consultative approach to developing the client relationship, you will lead on the development of a strategy to maximiseutilisation of our clients apprenticeship levy, working closely with the Group HR Director and wider HR Community.

Responsible for operational and sales performance of the 3aaa Mitie team, influencing high levels of performance and output. You must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering outstanding results through highly effective leadership qualities and a structured approach to planning for success.

You will undoubtedly be an experienced leader and manager with a passion for delivering excellent customer satisfaction whilst driving forward profitable business expansion.

A hands-on management style will ensure you engender the support of your team and genuinely ensure that 3aaa remain the provider of choice. You will be expected to ensure monthly targets are achieved for all direct reports, as well as developing additional opportunities and enrolments through your own Business Development.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities

·Develop a long-term strategic partnership with Mitie, ensuring an exceptional customer experience

·To take a consultative approach to identify and develop internal strategies to secure opportunities, products and services for 3aaa as appropriate

·Develop a highly effective communication strategy with internal and external stakeholders to specifically identify and develop internal tailored internal communication strategies for each Division, in partnership with Mitie’s Group HR Director and the Head of Learning & Development

·Produce & maintain plans for each division of Mitie that sets out a strategy identifying % of employees engaged (and other performance indicators) to be agreed with HR Directors of each Division

·Build strong professional relationships, with key stakeholders within Mitie, specifically identified as the Group HR Director and Head of Learning & Development

·Develop and lead on the marketing strategy in partnership with Mitie, to include agreed approaches to Mitie Apprenticeship Roadshow, internal events to promote the apprenticeship levy, and attend key Mitie conferences

·Agree with the client programme priority areas, and at a high level, Mitie specific content, with an output of an agreed volume of annualised enrolments (c2000 per annum)

·Drive awareness and understanding of the Levy across Mitie and champion apprenticeships

·Lead on strategic approach for Digital Resources – nominations portal, filming workshops, inductions, Mitie promotional material, MiNet, Workplace+

·Work with 3aaa’s PR agency, to develop an annual PR plan with Mitie seeking to raise awareness – with an ambition to win an external award within next 18 months

·Create a joint marketing plan with Mitie to ensure consistency of message across all points of engagement, and to create linkages to key learning events and agendas; i.e. women in to engineering

·Review all marketing collateral with Mitie such as Participant Handbook, Client Handbook, etc. to seek input and steer from Mitie on changes they require

·Lead on supporting Mitie in partnership to create the ‘Mitie Academy’ for each Division

·Procure and identify from Mitie Employee Engagement Survey which outputs 3aaa can support

·Lead on supporting and creating with Mitie their targeted recruitment campaigns such as women into engineering, school leavers onto Graduate Programme, BMAE into leadership

·Support Mitie to express its ‘Employer Voice’ in shaping the future of the Levy with the ESFA in conjunction with 3aaa’s SLT

·Forge strong relationships internally, working with colleagues across the business to broker relationships and ensure the right expertise to meet the client needs effectively.

·Lead the 3aaa Mitie team to translate the strategy into delivery outputs ensuring that these meet client needs.

·Represent 3aaa at quarterly Steering Committee meetings with Mitie to review performance and to shape future delivery.

·Conduct regular client review meetings to report on KPIs.

·Ensure effective data management, analysis, reporting & performance management to drive business decisions and continuous improvement.

·To lead sales and operational performance across the 3aaa Mitie team, influencing high levels of performance and output

·To lead and directly line manage the 3aaa Mitie team, to achieve company targets, ensuring profitability levels are maintained and/or improved

·Review/develop performance and capabilities of the 3aaa Mitie team to ensure targets are maximised

·To lead and develop a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, with relentless focus on outstanding experiences for our apprentices and Mitie – taking overall responsibility for the learner journey including delivery, quality and compliance requirements

·To work with the quality team to support an annual programme of quality audits and spot checks with a focus on observations of teaching and learning. Striving to reach Outstanding in all areas of teaching and learning

·To provide regular progress reports to the Director of Corporate Sales & Operations, and to be responsible for achieving budgeted targets

·To perform any Ad-hoc duties that the Company considers to be reasonable.

·To be mindful of your personal safety and the safety of apprentices and colleagues

·Attend training courses to further your personal development and knowledge

Key Outcomes to be measured (KPI’s)

·Sales – to work to agreed monthly/quarterly sales and financial targets

·Achievers – 85% achieving their qualification within the expected month of completion but outside the minimum duration

·Withdrawals – monitoring the level of all withdrawals or ‘did not starts’ across all programmes and do not exceed 15%

·Out of funded learners – those apprentices that have gone past their expected end dates but have not yet achieved and do not exceed 5%

·Breaks in Learning (BIL) – those apprentices that have suspended their learning for some legitimate reason and not to exceed 5%

·Customer Satisfaction – 95% Learner and Employer satisfaction rates

·Quality of Teaching and Learning – 90% of all observations are grade 1 or 2

·Success Rates – both Overall and Timely success rates 10% above national rates

·Audits – achieve and maintain a Green status audit results (quality and compliance)

·Staff Development – ensure all staff receive timely support to ensure performance is achieved and maintained, including the positive management of performance improvement plans where appropriate

·For all staff to deliver on the Company non-negotiables and live the 3aaa Vision, Mission and Values: Customer First, Excellence First and Integrity First

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential

·A successful track record of meeting and exceeding commercial targets

·Significant experience of leading and managing teams in a complex organisation

·Experience of engaging with employers

·Good level of IT literacy (Excel in particular)

·Clean driving licence and car

·Strong knowledge of Safer Recruitment best practice

·To hold (or pass) an Enhanced DBS check

Desirable

·Knowledge of the FE sector, Apprenticeship Standards and funded programmes

·Delivery experience

·Experience of coaching, mentoring and training

·Knowledge of local labour markets and population/demographics
