Marketing Derby Bondholder Event at 3aaa Apprenticeships

3aaa Apprenticeships hosted their annual Marketing Derby Bondholder event yesterday morning at our Derby Academy in Aspire House.

This year, we invited bondholders to join us for a breakfast meeting, which gave networking opportunities and an insight into the Apprenticeship Reforms and the new Apprenticeship Levy.

Speakers included David Wastie, Academy Manager of 3aaa Apprenticeships’ Derby training centre, Stewart Segal, 3aaa Apprenticeships’ Director of Strategy and Policy, Richard Irons, CEO of 3aaa Apprenticeships and Simon Carnall, Head of Community Trust at Derby County Football Club.

Attendees were varied, from SMEs to Large Organisations and many interesting companies in between. Our Apprenticeship experts were on hand to provide insight into how the Apprenticeship Reforms can be utilised for each business’ growth strategy, whether they have one employee or look after the recruitment of thousands of personnel.

We spoke with John Forkin, Managing Director of Marketing Derby about the event and the importance of Apprenticeships to the city:

“Training providers like 3aaa Apprenticeships are absolutely critical to the economy. Everybody knows there is a gap between education, work and preparing young people but I think Apprenticeships are becoming a much more recognised route in to the world of work. In a city like Derby, a company like 3aaa Apprenticeships is a fantastic success story of a business starting in the city that now works nationally and indeed internationally, delivering quality Apprenticeships with employers. What I find most surprising when I’m touring around 3aaa Apprenticeships’ Derby academy is that Apprenticeships aren’t just one sector, it’s in all categories; creative, administrative, finance as well as the more ‘traditional’ ones we are all aware of.”

Stewart Segal spoke to the Derby employers about the importance of skills development for the growth of the local economy, which was widely inspirational to all.

Competition Winner:

At the event we held a competition for all the Marketing Derby bondholders, giving them the opportunity to win two hospitality tickets to the Derby County V Huddersfield Town football game that is being held on the 17th April 2017.

Bondholders had to simply put their business cards into a prize draw and the winner was picked at random. We are pleased to announce that Owen Conti, The Managing Director at Code 56 won! We look forward to giving him the prize and seeing him at the match.

We are proud to be Marketing Derby Bondholders as it gives us the opportunity to educate and network with local employers at our Head Office building, which is the backbone of 3aaa Apprenticeships, a now international training provider with over 40 locations.
