IT, Web, Software and Telecoms Level 4

Course Overview

Our Level 4 IT Apprenticeship gives businesses the technical knowledge and support across all areas of their business, whilst offering Apprentices the opportunity to progress in their IT careers from their Level 3 Apprenticeship.

This programme combines a range of technical content across business and interpersonal areas and is designed to ensure your Apprentice has the appropriate skills and knowledge to operate efficiently and effectively within an organisation.

Over this 15-month Apprenticeship, participants learn technical competencies from software and website development to technical support and telecommunications. In addition, the Apprenticeship supports an industry-recognised qualification from organisations such as Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, VM Ware and CompTIA.

Learning & Assessment

This Apprenticeship lasts for 15 months, with Apprentices receiving training from a dedicated 3aaa trainer in on of our 38 training academies. This training will combine a blended learning approach including workshops, masterclasses and workplace visits.

This training will occur throughout the 15-month programme and the timetable for this will be confirmed with the employer and Apprentice prior to the programme beginning, enabling for planning and reducing workplace inefficiencies.

Are you eligible?

Individual employers will set the selection criteria, but this is likely to include; A levels, a level 3 Apprenticeship or other relevant qualification, relevant experience and/or an aptitude test.

You must also have a proven passion for IT.

Hire an Apprentice

Hire a IT Apprentice

Hiring a IT Apprentice will support your business’s technology needs, providing internal and external support.

We can work with you to source a suitable applicant for your business or you can up-skill your existing employees. If the employee is under 19 and your business had less than 50 employees, there will be no cost for the training. If they are over 19 and/or your business has over 50 employees, then you will contribute 10% towards the cost of the training.

National Insurance Contribution rebate for Apprentices

Did you know that you could claim back the National Insurance Contributions for your Apprentices depending on their age? If your business has hired an Apprentice since 6th April 2016, who is aged under 25 and is enrolled on an Apprenticeship, you can claim back your National Insurance Contributions for them. Depending on the salary of your Apprentice, this could amount to a significant saving. By changing your employer contribution category for Apprentices who meet these criteria you will save your business money.
