Course Overview

Our Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to develop as an Infrastructure Technician. This will allow you to support productivity through the use of IT. This programme has been designed by industry leading employers to ensure 3aaa Apprentices receive the most relevant Technology training for industry.

The 3aaa Apprenticeship Standards have fast become the industry-leading training for UK employers looking to hire the next generation of technology professionals. Over the 12-15 month Apprenticeship, Apprentices will gain a wide range of knowledge and experience, alongside the fundamental skills to succeed in any Technology role.

Modules

Module One

Networking & Architecture

This is the first module of the five knowledge modules required for the Level 3 Infrastructure Technician programme. It covers the range of concepts, approaches and techniques that are applicable to networking and architecture.

Module Two

Mobile & Operating Systems

This is the second module of the five knowledge modules covering the range of concepts, approaches and techniques that are applicable to mobile and operating systems.

Module Three

Cloud Services

This module teaches participants to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of cloud services, principles and techniques.

Module Four

Coding & Logic

This is the fourth module of the five knowledge modules which allows participants to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of coding & logic principles and techniques.

Module Five

Business Processes

This module teaches participants to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of business processes, principles and techniques, including security, data protection, business continuity and disaster recovery.

Learning & Assessment

This programme lasts for 12-15 months, with participants receiving training sessions during the initial stages of the programme. 3aaa Apprenticeships will liaise with employers to establish a timetable for these sessions.

Are you eligible?

To be accepted into the 3aaa Apprenticeships’ applicant pool, you must hold 5 GCSEs (graded A* to C or 9 to 5) or equivalent.

This must include English and Maths and you must demonstrate a proven passion in Technology.

Appoint an Infrastructure Technician today

Hiring an Infrastructure Technician Apprentice will support your business’s IT needs, providing internal and external assistance.

We can work with you to source a suitable applicant for your business or you can up-skill your existing employees. If the Apprentice is under 19 and your business has less than 50 employees, there will be no cost for the training. If they are over 19 and/or your business has over 50 employees then you will contribute 10% towards the cost of the training.

National Insurance Contribution rebate for Apprentices

Did you know that you could claim back the National Insurance Contributions for your Apprentices depending on their age. If your business has hired an Apprentice since 6th April 2016, who is aged under 25 and is enrolled on an Apprenticeship, you can claim back your National Insurance Contributions for them. Depending on the salary of your Apprentice, this could amount to a significant saving. By changing your employer contribution category for Apprentices who meet this criteria you will save your business money.
