About your role at 3aaa
I am the Managing Director at 3aaa Apprenticeships, running internal operations within the organisation and leading a highly talented senior management team.
Within my role, I manage the growth and scaling of the business and balance the demands of the Levy and Non-Levy areas of the business, ensuring that we are strong and forward-thinking in all areas.
Your Background Prior to 3aaa
Having worked in the education sector for over 10 years, I have a wealth of experience of different situations and areas within the ‘education world’.
I initially started my career as a Chartered Accountant in 1999 and worked in a number of different finances roles within a range of different businesses.
My career in education started 10 years ago, when I joined Nord Anglia Education, helping to manage international schools around the world. During this time, I learnt a great deal about different cultures and different approaches to education and this experience was invaluable.
I have also been a Non-Executive at Nottingham Trent University for the last 4 years, helping to give me a wider perspective of Further Education and Higher Education.
During the last 2 years as COO of 3aaa, I have developed my experience within Apprenticeships and continue to drive the business into the ‘new world’.
How My Role Adds Value to our Partnering Clients
On a day to day basis, I use my skills and experience to navigate the business through the ‘new world’ of Apprenticeships. Within the old world, we thrived to meet the quality needs of Ofsted and successfully achieved this. With the introduction of the Levy, we now still have that same emphasis on quality, Ofsted and also going the extra mile to meet the needs of our individual employers and partners. We deliver a seamless client service and all of our programmes are bespoke and contextualised for each client. The ‘new world’ puts employers at the forefront more and this is engrained within our strategy as an organisation.
I also manage the operational side of the organisation, ensuring that our strategy as a business is implemented effectively and seamlessly, from recruitment to on-boarding.
What are your interests outside of work?
I am married, with 2 children and a chocolate Labrador and as you can imagine, this takes up a great deal of my time! When I get time to relax, I enjoy a round of golf and am a member of Horsley Golf Club in Derbyshire and also enjoy CrossFit, continuously lifting Olympic bars above my head!
