Derbyshire agree stadium rights deal with 3aaa

Derbyshire CCC and 3aaa (Aspire Achieve Advance Ltd) have agreed a three year partnership which will see 3aaa, one of the UK’s leading national training providers for Apprenticeships, become Derbyshire’s first ever stadium naming rights partner. The six-figure deal is the largest commercial partnership in the history of the Club. It will see the ground renamed as The 3aaa County Ground (pronounced verbally as The 3a County Ground) as well as 3aaa becoming Derbyshire’s NatWest T20 Blast shirt sponsor. Also, as part of the ground-breaking partnership, 3aaa will provide four high quality, industry experienced apprentices to join Derbyshire’s off-field commercial and administration team.
Derbyshire CCC Chief Executive Simon Storey said: “We are absolutely delighted to be entering this innovative partnership with 3aaa. “Our partnership with 3aaa will give their business nationwide exposure, supporting their continued growth as one of the country’s leading apprenticeship providers.
“They will also get the opportunity to create network links with over 70 local businesses in our 1870 Business Club, many of whom – no doubt – will be employing 3aaa apprentices in the near future.
“From a Derbyshire CCC point of view, this partnership brings benefits on and off the field.
“For the Club to move forward, we have to increase investment in our playing and coaching budget. Sharing our major sponsorship assets with key business partners like 3aaa will help support the continued development of our on-field team.
“What is particularly unique about our partnership with 3aaa is it will help us develop off-the-field by providing apprenticeship opportunities, in an elite sporting environment, to young people in Derbyshire.”
Peter Marples, 3aaa Director, added: “We are delighted to embark on this breakthrough partnership with Derbyshire and proud to be supporting our local County Cricket Club.
“As 3aaa continues to expand, we wanted to secure a major sponsorship deal to raise our profile and strengthen our brand awareness. We felt Derbyshire, with their ambitions for success and commitment to elite performance, were the perfect fit.
“As a Derbyshire based business, we are also keen to contribute to businesses at the heart of the local community; this partnership will help achieve that objective.”

Case Study pick for National Apprenticeship Week

NextiraOne

We are very proud of our Apprentices, particularly when we hear good things about them from their employers. Here is a brilliant example. Our IT Apprentice, Daniel Kent, has been performing well at his Apprenticeship at NextiraOne, so much so that his employer has got in touch with us to tell us how well he is doing!

Dan joined NextiraOne in April 2013 as an apprentice in our IT support department whilst doing his qualifications through South Staffs College and the NITP in Tamworth.  He has embraced his apprenticeship programme, and he has progressed extremely well both academically and professionally whilst becoming a very popular and well-liked member of the NextiraOne team.  Indeed, he has recently received an award from his apprenticeship training provider – 3AAA and the National IT Partnership – at the House of Commons.  He was nominated for this award by his apprenticeship assessor for his standard of work, and the progress he’s made both in the workplace and at college.

Daniel- He is very amiable, sociable and professional and is on target to timely complete. He is a team player and has also taken part in other voluntary work with his employer (the last being at the Staffordshire arboretum planting trees and gardening )  He is due to complete in April and has 40% to complete so is on target.
