3aaa IT Apprentices from our Oxford, Milton Keynes and Bedford Academies are due to visit Microsoft for an event on May 30th. The visit will enhance their IT skills, help them understand how Microsoft operates as a global Organisation, plus they will be able to find out more about job opportunities within the Organisation.

The key focus of the event is to give Apprentices the opportunity to understand about IT operations on a global scale with a particular focus on technical and IT support roles. Apprentices will have the opportunity to see a device demonstration session, hear from key speakers within Microsoft and also develop their own skills through an app design challenge.

Charity Focused Apprentice Joins Purpose Media

Sixteen year old Matt Wojda has joined e-commerce website developer and on-line marketing specialist, Purpose Media on an apprenticeship arranged by Aspire Achieve Advance Ltd based in Derby.

Matt has joined straight from Swanwick Hall School where he achieved merits for his BTEC’s in music, ICT and media. In his spare time Matt enjoys volunteering on behalf of SSAFA – the charity that provides lifelong support for the Armed Forces and their families. He also and gets heavily involved in selling Poppies for the Remembrance Day Festival.

His role as a client support assistant will be combined with his apprenticeship which involves spending alternate weeks at the 3A’s Academy on a ten week course studying all aspects of IT and software.

Commenting on his apprenticeship Matt said, “I am really looking forward to the opportunity to learn. I hope to be able to work in all areas of Purpose Media’s business to see where my strengths lie before deciding whether to focus on creative design, website development or SEO and on-line marketing consultancy.”

Matt is also about to complete his Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award and hopes to complete his Gold award by the end of 2014. He also enjoys most sports including football and running.

The exciting new partnership will see the National company, with their Head Office based in Derby, become the Millers new ‘Platinum Partner’ which will also include their brand appearing on the back of the Rotherham United away shirt for the next two-years.

3AAA Attended The Derby Telegraphs Job Fair

“Determined job-seekers ignored yesterday’s brilliant sunshine to attend the Derby Telegraph Job Fair. Hundreds of people of all ages and from all backgrounds thronged to the Derby Conference Centre in London Road. A queue formed long before the event was due to open, made up of people eager to find work, access a training course or get back into employment. Attendees included wannabe apprentices, parents wanting to return to work and those recently made redundant. Yesterday saw a number of firms seeking to recruit warehouse workers.”

“3aaa has a target to create 100 apprenticeship opportunities by the end of summer. It already has 35 on board. Recruitment executive Laura Bayliss said: “There are 42 companies on board and there are live vacancies available in IT, social media and accountancy.”
