3aaa delivers real Apprenticeships and bucks the trend

IMG_6625 (2)

At 3aaa we are focused on delivering life changing opportunities for young people.  We are currently finding more than 100 young people jobs on a weekly basis – and these are typically new jobs with employers who haven’t employed an Apprentice before.

We believe that Apprenticeships are about job creation and the delivery of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.  Ofsted agreed with us when they inspected us last year and gave us a Grade 1 Outstanding in all areas of the work that we do.

So we were disappointed to see the report from the Institute of Education and the Nuffield Foundation this week that said that in many cases, government money for Apprenticeship is being used to support the training of adults who are over the age of 25 and people who are already in work where their employers really should pay for their training.

Thankfully through our 33 Academies we are finding small and medium sized employers on a daily basis who want to recruit new talent into their businesses and want to employ some of the amazing young people who are currently in our Applicant pool.  We currently have more than 800 Apprenticeship vacancies that we are recruiting for across the country and more than 1,200 young people who have been interviewed by our Academy staff and are ‘job ready’.

The 300 people who work for 3aaa will continue to get up every morning to deliver the 100+ life changing opportunities that we are generating on a weekly basis – we’ll also keep lobbying government to ensure that an Apprenticeship is really about job creation and the delivery of outstanding teaching learning and assessment and that the finite pot of government funding is not spent on training that employers should be paying for themselves.

You’ll now find a 3aaa Academy in Bedford, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Chelmsford, Croydon, Derby, Gloucester, Guildford, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Maidstone, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Newcastle, Northampton, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, Peterborough, Reading, Romford, Sheffield, Southampton, Swindon, Tamworth, Warwick, Watford, Worcester and York.

Academies will soon be opening in Blackburn, Bradford, Exeter, Hull, Middlesbrough, Plymouth, Stoke and Wolverhampton.

Derbyshire Apprenticeship Graduation 2015 – The Roundhouse

IMG_0375

On Thursday 28th May, 3aaa collaborated with a range of Derbyshire’s local education providers, training providers, businesses and local authorities to celebrate the achievements of Apprentices across the county.

The Derbyshire Apprenticeship Graduation, which was hosted by The Roundhouse in Derby proved to be an excellent day with over 100 Apprentices receiving their graduation certificates in front of their proud families and friends. Several 3aaa Apprentices were also involved in the ceremony as a celebration of all of their hard work and achievements.

We were joined at the event by a range of different providers such as Derby College, Chesterfield College, East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire), Derby City Council, Derbyshire County Council, The Derbyshire Network, EMFEC, University of Derby and D2N2 LEP.

Alongside all of the above sponsors, local businesses came together with local figureheads in the community to celebrate not only the Apprentices who were graduating but also the Apprenticeship scheme as a whole and the impact that it has on Derbyshire and the county’s thriving industries.

At the start of the day, 3aaa were present at the event’s ‘Provider Market’ and spoke to local businesses and organisations about what we do and how we offer life changing opportunities to young people as well as helping to transform businesses. During this part of the day, guest speakers included Peter Richardson (Chairman of D2N2 LEP), Michael Nicol (Head of Employer and Delivery Services at the SFA) as well as local SME business owner James Blick (MD at the Finesse Collection). All of the guest speakers spoke fondly about the effect that young Apprentices have in helping to progress and transform a range of different businesses.

Then came the ceremony itself where the Apprentices were invited up to the stage one by one to receive their certificate in front of families and other guests.

Peter Richardson, Chairman of the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership said “The Apprentices who graduated yesterday are a celebration of what Employers and training providers can accomplish together, when working with engaged, passionate young people”.

Rob Collins, Marketing Executive for 3aaa said “The graduation was an excellent day for everyone involved. It was great to see a range of different providers, businesses and organisations come together to celebrate Apprenticeships and to see how passionate they are about them and the life changing opportunities that they bring. We were also proud to see some of our own Apprentices graduate in which was the very first Apprenticeship Graduation for Derbyshire”.

Congratulations to all of the Apprentices involved! More pictures will follow in the next couple of days.

13aaaStumps

At 3aaa, we are continuing to use the power of sport to encourage businesses across Derbyshire to take on a young Apprentice and be part of something special in Derby.

Digital Marketing Apprentice Stars In Comedy Coffee Campaign

Pic

One of Maidstone’s brightest digital marketing apprentices, Daniel Battam – Scott, has featured in a new advertising campaign for his employer, Cohesion Marketing by Design.

Daniel began his journey with 3aaa back in January, where Maidstone’s academy manager Juliet Shand, recognised his immeasurable potential. Within a very short period of time he had been reviewed, interviewed and offered a job with a thriving creative marketing and design agency in Kent.

The advertisement, which features on the company’s YouTube channel, shows Dan and his colleagues participating in a comedic tutorial on how to make the perfect cup of coffee, with limited office resources. Not only is it entertaining and light hearted, but it is also an innovative marketing tool to increase brand awareness and enforce their brand identity as a young and creative marketing company. Instances such as these show just how 3aaa apprenticeships can bring life changing opportunities to ambitious young people across the country.

Daniel’s confidence is evident throughout the entire video, and his flair for digital marketing will make him a force to be reckoned with. 3aaa would like to say good luck in the future Dan, Cohesion marketing have bagged themselves a very talented team member.
